Real-time quotes are available for most stocks, even in the Free version. You can look at the last trade time in the watchlist to see how recent the quotes are.

The Standard Subscription enables the auto-refresh features, where the quotes and End of Day charts will update up to every 5 seconds. Intraday charts update according to their interval, e.g. 2 minute charts get refreshed every 2 minutes, etc.

The quote and historical data come from Yahoo! We are in the process of replacing Yahoo! as the provider and instead using a customer’s brokerage as the data provider. This will be a Bring Your Own Data platform which will result in lower costs for you.

Yes, the Free version of the app uses the same data provider and is real-time as in the previous answer to “Are the quotes and charts real-time?”.

Yes, ChartTreker allows you to view intraday charts. The current time frames that are supported are:

  • 1-minute
  • 2-minute
  • 3-minute
  • 5-minute
  • 15-minute
  • 30-minute
  • 60-minute
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

Yes! Activate the two week free trial to use all of the premium features. At the end of the free trial, the premium features will be downgraded to the Free version but your data will remain on the device, accessible with the purchase of a Standard Subscription.

If you want to purchase a subscription, follow the instructions in the next answer.

  1. Touch MENU in the upper-right corner.
  2. Touch Upgrade Options (or Upgrade on iPhone)
  3. Touch the FREE button.

No. The subscription covers all of your Apple devices. You can purchase the Standard Subscription using one device and then activate the subscription for free on all of your other devices. 

Note that all devices that will share the subscription must be signed in with the same Apple ID.

Once you purchase the Standard Subscription using one device (iPad or iPhone), you can activate the subscription on all of your other Apple devices.

To activate the subscription on each new device:

  1. Sign in with your AppleID
  2. Open the ChartTreker App
  3. Touch MENU
  4. Touch Upgrade Options (or Upgrade on iPhone)
  5. At the bottom of the Purchase Upgrades view, select Restore Previous Purchases.
Select Restore Previous Purchases to activate on another device.

There are times when you may need to restart ChartTreker if it encounters a problem with reloading data. Usually, the ChartTreker Team will issue a message saying that the workaround for a problem is to restart the app.

Whether you’re going to be pausing your trading or no longer find the app useful for you, you can cancel subscription renewals at any time.

Note that subscriptions will not be prorated upon cancelation. The current subscription will remain active until the expiration of the current subscription period.
